Software Center

Software Center is a desktop application that provides an easy and convenient way to download software provided by Missouri Western State University. 
If Software Center is not installed on your computer, please create a HelpDesk ticket with saying you need to have it installed.

Opening Software Center

Begin by searching “Software Center” in the Windows Start Menu.

Click the Software Center option that appears near the top of the menu. (fig. 1)

Tip: Once the Windows Start Menu has opened, you can simply begin typing without clicking the search bar. 

Using Software Center

The Software Center home screen (fig. 2) will show a list of software options available for download

To download specific software, click the corresponding icon and the application’s details page will appear.
Click the button labeled “Install” (fig. 3) and the software will automatically install on your computer

Some software requires administrative approval; for these software applications, you must provide your MWSU credentials (e.g., faculty, staff, or departmental use) and a short explanation of your intended use of the application. 
After the system administrator has approved the request, your software will automatically download.

Note: There are additional menu options on the left side of the application window, these options are not currently implemented and can be disregarded.
