Connect macOS Computer to MWSU-Admin

Note: macOS 12xx Monterey is not supported on MWSU-Admin. Connect these devices to MWSU-Devices
1. Verify that all other MWSU networks have been removed.
     a. Apple Icon (top left) > System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi > Advanced… (bottom right)
     b. Remove all SSIDs including MWSU admin and Apogee ResNet SSIDs:
          i. MWSU, MWSU-HowToConnect, MWSU_Guest, MWSU-Devices, MWSU-Guest, MyResNet-StartHere, MyResNet-5G, and MyResNet-2G, etc.
          ii. Individually select each network to be forgotten and use the minus button located below the known networks box to forget a network
2. Connect to the MWSU-Admin SSID, when prompted, use the SSO credentials of the user.
3. Open a browser and go to the web address https://1.2.3.4 to access the BYOD portal.
4. Click Start

5. Enter Device information (Device ID will automatically populate).
     a. Click next.

6. Open the downloaded file either via the pop-up or in the downloads folder in finder.
7. Click on the downloaded item (SPW.tar.gz)

a. Click on the new file placed into the downloads folder.
          i. It will be named cisco_network_setup_assistant.dmg
     b. A new window will pop-up. Click the Cisco network Setup Assistant icon.
     c. Click Start to initiate the install. Stop and do NOT press anything else and move to next steps.

d. Do Not Click OK on the pop-up presented below. Pause on everything related to this screen

8. A new file will appear in the Downloads folder named cisco802dot1xconfiguration.mobileconfig.
     a. Double click this file.

9. Apple Icon > System Preferences > Profiles (bottom right)
10. Click Install…

11. Return to the Cisco Network Setup Assistant menu.
     a. Click okay on the pop-up window.
     b. Allow the Cisco Network Setup Assistant to finish. It will show a green check mark if it was successful.
12. Open a browser to verify internet connectivity
