Remotely access macOS device from Windows 10

Please download a VNC viewer to remotely access a mac on campus.  We recommend Real VNC.

Go to your browser and navigate to https://remoteaccess.labstats.com/missouri-western-state-university  

(or quick link griff.vn/remotelab) 

Currently, they will be asked to enter the computer name.local into the VNC software. We are working with the vendor to give the correct name when they attempt to connect. The correct name will be the following format: l-labname-computernumber.labs.missouriwestern.edu (example L-PH204-10.labs.missouriwestern.edu)

When prompted for username and password, users will need to include univ\ in front of their username. (example univ\username)

It may fail the first time. If so, just try again.

The connections are NOT ENCRYPTED. You will receive a warning when connecting about that.

When connecting to a mac device on campus please know that if it is an iMac the screen in the classroom will show what you are doing/ working on. 

Please make sure to logout of the computer once you are finished.
