Has my account been compromised or "Hacked"?
If you believe your account has been compromised you can take immediate steps to secure it.
1. Change your password.
- Go to www.missouriwestern.edu and scroll down to the bottom, click Goldlink on the right side, then click on Forgot Password.
- Select your personal email address or mobile number to send a temporary access code.
- Log in with the temporary code and then change your password.
- Your password must be at least 8 characters and have at least 3 of the following:
- uppercase letter
- lowercase letter
- number
- special character
Your password CANNOT have any part of your name, initials, G number or birthdate. Never use a variation of a previously used password.
2. Contact the Help Desk
Call the Technology Services Help Desk @ 816-271-4555 or stop by the Technology Services Help Desk located in Hearnes 150 to review your account settings and ensure that any potential issues have been resolved. The Technology Services Help Desk is open 8-4:30 PM Monday-Friday.
