Installing Microsoft Authentication App (MFA)

1) To set up MFA, visit:

2) Enter your MWSU email address. 

3) If you have previously set up a “personal” Microsoft account associated with your MWSU email, you will be asked if you want to use your 'Work or School Account' or 'Personal Account'. Make sure that you select 'Work or School Account' here. 

4) Enter your password. 

5) You'll be informed that the account now requires further authentication, and then you’ll be prompted to install the Microsoft Authenticator app. 

6) You'll then be presented with a QR code to scan using the Authenticator app. 

7) On your mobile device, open the Authenticator app and hit '+'. Then select 'Work or School Account'.   

8) Select 'Scan a QR code', and scan the previously presented QR code. 

9) Continue the verification process by entering the numbers presented on the screen into the app as directed.
